Hi, all!
This is Jeff
and Denelle finally back from our long-delayed honeymoon. Denelle finished
up with her classes and is now teaching 5th grade. We decided to take
our long awaited honeymoon before school officially started and life became
extremely busy. For Jeff, there is a continuing wait for software to be
delivered so my team can start testing it. No time is better or worse
than any other right now!

We flew into
Ft. Lauderdale on Saturday, July 14th. We spent the night there and boarded
the boat the next day at approximately noon. It was a huge ship!

The
Grand Princess at Princess Cays, Bahamas
|
We had a great
time exploring all of its decks and becoming familiar with the surroundings.
There are 14 decks plus a nightclub on the back. 4 Jacuzzis and 2 pools,
3 main dining rooms and 2 specialty restaurants, ice cream bar, pizzeria,
hamburger bar, etc. We found an onboard Italian restaurant and immediately
made reservations for that evening. We have never had a better 7 course
Italian meal! Jeff at first thought that he had too much wine at dinner
until we realized that it was the boat. Much relieved, we returned to
drinking our wine.

Bill
and Jennifer
|
We met a very
nice couple, Bill and Jennifer from Cleveland,
who joined us for dinner several nights. Bill just graduated from Harvard
Business School and will be going to work for McKinsey and Co. doing management
consulting. Jennifer currently takes care of their 8 year old boy, William.

The
Hartt's go formal!
|
This is what
we looked like for the Captain's Night formal dinner. We did not look
like this all the time!
Our cabin was
"cozy" but had a nice window view of the ocean. We did experience
some choppy water our first night out at sea.
Our first stop
was a private resort run by Princess Cruise Lines called "Princess
Cays" on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. Here we mostly kicked
back on the beach and got a tan.

Actually, Denelle
got a tan and Jeff burned on the spots he forgot to put sunscreen.
